Hello everyone. I was checking my security settings for Facebook and noticed I had been doing a blog. So much has happened in the last year I am not sure I can consolidate it into one post. I maybe I will make this a Sunday evening (after the kids are in bed and the house is quiet) ritual.
More to come.... stay tuned...
Getting itchy for another Family reunion.... more about this later.

June some highs and some lows
Hey everyone,
I know that you are glad that I am breaking this up. So June was a month of highs and lows for the Kubacki family. After we got the move out of the way we went straight for a trip to Seiverville Tennessee for the Marbach family reunion. None of us have seen each other is one setting since our Beach Reunion in 1999, so it had been more than 10 years since we were all together. My Aunt Dottie got us a great place called the The Oak Haven Resort. It was beautiful. Even played a round of golf with my Uncle Rob and cousin Robbie on a 4 star golf course. what a beautiful course on the French Broad River. Had a great time. Anyway, the Tuesday before the reunion my Grandma, the matriarch of the family, had multiple strokes. She survived those and showed signs of improvement in rehab, so my Aunt Beth and Uncle Mike made the long trip (10hours + drive) to attend Friday and Saturday. We waited up for them until 5am when they arrived. It was good to have all the family together. One of the highlights was the picnic that we had at a local park/picnic shelter. All the kids and families all in one place, eating, playing games, and catching up.. What a great time.
| The Marbach children and spouses l-r: ROB and Katy, Mike and MARYBETH, DENNIS and Dottie, Ken and PAM, PHIL and Donna (children are in caps) and here is a picture of the entire family... 3 generations of Marbachs Marbach children seated in order of birth. Phil, Dennis, Pam, Marybeth, and Rob. And then the first cousins in order from right to left - Michelle (old), Kenn (less old), Paul (missing), Denise (old and pregnant), Karen (missing), Korey, Kris, David, Cheryl, Laura, Mike, Melissa, Robbie Of course, it wouldn't be a family reunion unless we did something as a family. My Uncle Rob brought a 16" softball (requires no glove) and all the family got into the action.. Here are some actions shots although I have a lot of my Uncle Mike in all sorts of poses (not by my choice). Uncle Mike shows Ryan how to play 1st base Aunt Beth and Uncle Dennis "coach" Michelle strike one Ryan tells (great)Uncle Dennis "I am safe!, Look!" Ryan says "bring it on" Uncle Mike talks "junk" to Ann Marie on First! David waits for the pitch! Uncle Rob delivers. a little horseplay at 2nd... always happens with our family. Aunt Beth and Uncle Dennis coaching the bench. There was a lot more that happened.. Just not enough room to post all 300 pictures I took.. It was great to see family and hang out.. I heard someone say that it WILL NOT BE ANOTHER 10 YEARS before we do this again. Our families change so much everyday... We need to have all of our family together every 3 years. I hope we can accomplish this. Unfortunately, Grandma didn't fare so well.. She passed on on July 10th, 2010. To read her incredible obituary go here. She is and will be greatly missed. Thanks to my Aunt Beth and Uncle Mike who opened up their house to all the family that needed a place to stay is never enough. I imagine my Aunt Beth never really got a chance to grieve while we were there and I appreciate her more than she will ever know. Did I mention she is my God-Mother.. I love my God-Mother.. I will call it a night and continue with June in the AM.. Stay Tuned Kenn |

OK sorry Heres a long update.
K so I am sorry.. I kinda left everyone hanging... Needless to say things got very very hectic after my last post. A lot of things have happened, and I have had a couple of fellow bloggers get on me to update. It was actually Phils Post that pushed me over the edge.
So here goes my last blog date was May 18th.
Here is what happened.
May 19th we went to their lawyers and sign over the house to the new buyers.. Yea!! We sold the house and we did it on our terms.. That actually went pretty smoothly. For a brief second we were, in our eyes, rich. In the same vein we were homeless as well. By this point the POD that was in the drive way was filled and ready to be moved to the new location. Bye Bye 205 Cross Hill Lane we hope you will serve your new owners proudly.
On the same day we had our final walk-thru on our new house. That went ok, but there were still issues that needed to be resolved. I had paid a home inspector to go and check things out(even though home inspectors, according to our builder rep were just leeches on the whole building industry and a waste of time), did I mention that he found a light in the on position in the bonus room that was not connected to a switch so it couldn't be turned off? Just saying, maybe not such a bad idea to have one done.
May 20th 10am We are headed to the new house builders lawyers to do the same to our new house. We are told it should only take an hour maybe an hour and a half to sign all the papers and get the keys. As we are going through the papers and signing them Susan notices so discrepancies about the funding, about $2600 worth of issues. So we call the Mortgage lender, she is out until 1pm. We call the VP of the builder and he isn't really helping any, just sounding like he is. So we sign what we can and I take Susan to lunch (we're rich remember) no McDonalds this lunch. We wait as long as we can and return to see if we have heard anything from Wells Fargo about the mistake THEY have made. Around 3:30 it all comes down to these two options: 1. Even though Wells Fargo made mistakes in the paperwork concerning our mortgage they can redo this paperwork, but it will take another 7-10 days to get it done and approved and the will not be able to guarantee our "preferred" lending rate. OR option 2 they are willing to forfeit the Mortgage Lenders agents commission and put that towards the price ($1300) and we can sign and leave today (keeping in mind that it means we will have to eat $1300).
Since we had already sold our house and the new owners were nice enough to let us live in it rent free we knew we wouldn't be able to stay another 7-10 days. It also meant we would have had to rent the POD for an additional 7-10 days, we would have to load all of our stuff into a moving truck that Saturday and rent it for 5-7days, and then rent a hotel for the Kubackis for a week, and board the dogs for a week, it wasn't worth the $1300 so we took our losses and ran with keys in hand. So nice to have one less stress in our lives.
In the mean time, Ryan and I are still doing U4/U5 TBall..
The YMCA Bees did really well. They all came a long way from playing in the dirt and not being interested, to the last game when we were going home, Ryan says "Daddy, I really like T-Ball can we play again next year?" Of course I said sure we can and next year you will be much better than this year because you practiced.
Saturday May 21st. Moving Day...
Thank you to all that came and helped us move our entire house, clean, and get things into the new house. Friends like you are few and far between. If I can do anything for you please let me know how I can repay this huge indebtedness.
The move itself went very smooth. 10-11 great guys showed up and took care of the heavy lifting and moving. Only one fatality and it was a piece of furniture I have been wanting to get rid of for a long time.
So when we moved into the house the sod was dead. I mean brown, ugly, never going to live again dead. It took the builder a month to decided if it was going to live or die before it was replaced.
Also had a fence installed which, in my opinion, looks really nice.
So we have moved.. We are in and finally things are "normal"
More in my next post coming right up.

The end is near!! I see a light at the end of the tunnel
We finally have closing dates...
Tomorrow morning the buyers of our house will do their walk through before we meet with the lawyer to finalize the closing of our house. I must admit a little surreal for me as this house is my first house that I purchased.. I watched it being built, put ethernet cabling in myself before the drywall went up, and it is my first house. I am a little sad. On Thursday however we close on our new house. Twice the size of here.. Places to hide, and a garage to work on my vehicles.. Oh! did I mention my office? I can't wait.... We will close on our new house on Thursday.. Then the moving begins. We have been boxing and packing the "Packman" for three weeks now.. Its almost full. It gets moved to the new house on Thursday.. Cable is installed on Friday, New Refrigerator is delivered on Friday.. Then Friday night after work, and Saturday morning we will move all of our stuff into the new house.. (are you available? we need your help!!!)
So a major source of stress is about to be a done deal. Its been a long road.
TBall has started and I decided to coach Ryans team.. Interesting(Challenging) to say the least.. Ryan and I have a game on Saturday, so we will go play the game and then rush back to the house to move...
I would be remiss if I didn't say we are thinking about Grammie, Terry, Mom and her quick recovery from her surgery.. We know how tough you are.. You are in our thoughts.
Thats it for now... Pictures next time of new house, tball, and things happening in our life.
Got an extra couple of hours.. come help us move this weekend.. I'll feed you good and make sure that you are watered good too...
